Format: Essays should be at least 4 pages long and also have a title page and a reference page. Each paper needs a title page with the title, your name, and class name/number. Everything should be in 12-point Times New Roman font, normal margins (1-inch), double-spaced, and have page numbers in top right corner. Reference page should be separate and include a list of all sources used in alphabetical order. The reference page should have APA formatted bibliographies (a good source to see formatting is APA Style Introduction // Purdue Writing Lab) with References’ centered at the top of the page. Each source you use should be cited in your paper. Citations should be at the end of the sentence and look like: (author’s last name, year published). If there are two authors, it should look like: (author’s last name & author’s last name, year published). If there are more than two authors, citations should look like: (author’s last name et al., year published). Requirements: Include at least three references- one can be the textbook, one must be a peer- reviewed scientific article (found on the library databases and/or google scholar), and one can be a newspaper or magazine article. No blogs, websites, Wikipedia pages. Library databases found at: LIBRARY (laguardia.edu) search databases > subject > psychology > psychinfo,> type topic in search box
Proposal: One paragraph explaining the specific topic you chose and why you think it is an important and interesting subject. Y ou need to include all references’ APA-formatted bibliographies and 2-3 sentences about what each reference explains about your topic. This can be typed directly into the textbox, or you can upload a PDF or word document (as long as you have bibliographies formatted correctly)
Final paper: Your paper should answer the following questions:
1. What is your topic? What is the definition? 2. Why is it an important topic? 3. What does the research on this topic explore? 4. Fully summarize the scientific article 5. How does this topic relate to real life? 6. Summarize the newspaper article on the topic 7. What is the future of this topic?
