Your final paper (5-7 pages) will involve answering three specific questions related to James
Davison Hunter’s book To Change the World. The questions are provided below.
Although you are answering a set of questions, your paper should still be written as a traditional
paper. You will want to include an opening paragraph (in which you discuss Hunter’s thesis and
the outline of your paper), the body of your paper (in which you explicate your main points), and
a concluding paragraph (in which you summarize your preceding material). You can use
headings or subheadings in the body of your paper to distinguish when you are addressing
particular questions if you wish.
You are required to cite specifically from the book in your answers; feel free to bring in outside
sources—including other sources used in this course—to help support your answers.
