View ONE of the films in Lemelson’s series about schizophrenia in Indonesia. Discuss the film you selected with reference to key ideas and terms from the textbook, explaining how the video presents an anthropological view of health and religion. How does ritual function in the community? How are health and illness understood and addressed in this particular cultural context? How are these meanings different from our own understanding of schizophrenia? Finally, comment on the film series as an example of how anthropologists utilize media to represent anthropological concepts to broader audiences.
