For this paper you are will be given a choice of a ‘controversial’ topic related to diversity and will be asked to examine the nature of the controversy around that topic. You will be asked to present a neutral paper on different viewpoints, however, will conclude with an overall opinion of how you feel about the topic in particular. The goal is for you to educate yourself on a topic and decide how you feel, and for you to demonstrate your understanding of all of the aspects of a particular issue facing our society today related to diversity.

Paper Requirements
The paper should be 5-7 pages long double-spaced, have page numbers in the upper right hand corner starting on the cover page, a cover page (template provided), a references page, and use Times New Roman font size 12. As this is a research paper you will be required to utilize at least 4 peer-reviewed journal articles. The paper should be in APA format, including the references, in-text citations, headings, subheadings, and should have proper grammar/spelling.
Please use the following guidelines as you compose your paper:
Please introduce your topic by providing a definition or description of the problem/issue.
Include any statistics or data that can help describe the nature of the problem/issue.
Introduce the affirmative side of the issue. What are the main reasons why people agree with this statement/question? What are some of the opinions and data-driven reasons that people support this issue? It must include a reference to Batman.
Introduce the negative side of the issue. What are the main reasons people disagree with the statement you’ve been assigned? What are some of the main opinions and data-driven reasons people do not support this issue?
What are some of the things our society has done to resolve this issue? Have they been successful? What ideas are offered to resolve the issue currently?
Conclude with your opinion of a resolution to the issue. Explain the reasons for your decision using data you researched from previous parts of this paper
