Develop 2 or more strategies for achieving each goal to increase parent and community involvement in your school.
Consider using existing partnerships (e.g., parent program, business, non-profit organization).
Part 2: Proposal
Write a 350- to 700-word proposal in which you share with your school administration your idea for a parent-community involvement plan, including implementation strategies for improving literacy development and learning in your school.
Address the following questions in your proposal:
How do you plan to get support from other teachers on campus?
How will you overcome potential obstacles?
What are the benefits of the parent-community involvement plan and why should your school adopt it?
Part 3: Program Calendar
Create a school-year calendar that depicts monthly literacy development activities to accomplish the plan you designed. There should be at least 1 activity per month. Include a brief description or instructions for each monthly activity.
