Step 2: Knit the RMD file in Rstudio
After the rmd file is downloaded, open it up in Rstudio and hit the knit button. The file should compile into a slide presentation layout. If it does not, you are probably missing a required R library that you will need to download. Seek my help to resolve this issue if necessary.
Step 3: Edit the RMD file
While you will not have to worry about writing your own code, you will still need to make certain edits in places that say ‘edit me’ and provide appropriate answers. Go through the RMD file and search for places that say `edit me`. In total, there are 11 `edit me` locations that require you to insert an appropriate answer. Below each `edit me` location, you will find some green text that gives you some instructions on what type of answer is required.
Note that because this is a slides presentation, you do not want to write complete sentences. Rather, make bullet point lists neat and concise. Start with a 1. and then write you answer to make a numbered bullet list.
Step 4: Knit final document
After you have removed all of the `edit me` locations and substituted your appropriate answers, hit the knit button again in Rstudio to compile your final slides presentation.
Step 5: Presentation
After you have knitted your ioslides_presentation HTML file, you will need to film yourself presenting this presentation. It can just be a voice-over if you are not comfortable with being on the video. This video will need to be uploaded and shared via YouTube.
