Watch the robbery scenario video provided below. I would suggest taking detailed notes. You may wish to start and stop the video so as to ensure you are able to get all of the information you need for a complete and thorough investigative report.

Review the sample robbery reports I provided within this module which provides an excellent template and example of what a robbery investigative report should consist of.
Step 5
Generate a narrative police report (face sheet not required) as if you were the investigating officer. I am looking for depth and detail in your report. The grading rubrics is provided below. The report MUST be typed.
Your report should minimally include the following information
SUMMARY: Overview of elements of crime if call is a criminal offense. If non-criminal this may be used to give overview of incident. May include pertinent information ie: arrest, disposition, court orders.
INITIAL CONTACT/NOTIFICATION:This will include the location as well as the date/time dispatched and arrival times.
INVESTIGATION: Describe in chronological order (as much as possible) the details of incident.
STATEMENTS are embedded into investigation as they occur.
EVIDENCE: Evidence that is collected and disposition, includes photographs and fingerprint information.
DISPOSITION/ CONCLUSION: Includes how incident was resolved or if further investigation is needed. Example: Cleared by arrest, suspended, open for further investigation, “matter of record”
Use the template I provided and make sure you minimally include all of the above.
