ORAL PRESENTATION – OVERVIEW
This is an 18 to 20-min oral defense of your Research Prospectus. Create a PowerPoint presentation of your research prospectus and deliver it in a video format. Your presentation must be presented in PowerPoint.
Please use the PowerPoint template that I have provided in the Oral Defense folder.
Dress to impress in business attire. This counts towards your score for this assignment. See the Housekeeping matrix in the syllabus.
Save your video in a cloud or on YouTube, etc. Post the LINK to your video in the place provided.
Reflect upon the content of your Introduction and Rationale and be prepared to address these question(s):
Who cares about the behavior you are proposing and WHY?
Would the results of this research significantly affect human life? How? Why?
In what way do you think the positive results of this study would improve the lives of your colleagues?
In what way would this research move science forward?
Is this study replicating a previous study? If so, then why are you proposing to replicate it?
What do you expect the outcome to be?
POWERPOINT SLIDES
The template you must use is located in this Oral Defense folder. Clarification, the organization of your slides is what must be followed.

Change the background design to something else.
The color of your background and font must be pleasing. While hot pink and orange or navy blue and red might be your favorite combinations, they don’t typically show-up well on PowerPoint slide, I am afraid.
Always be cognizant that someone in your audience might be colorblind or otherwise visually impaired, so try using contracting colors as the rule of thumb.
Font sizes (points) for each slide work well between 36 and 44 pts.
Font sizes (points) in the body of a slide work well between 14 and 20 pts.
Font themes – Use Arial, Times Roman, or Courier.
