The Final
You will upload a document to receive credit for this test.
Part 1: Cinderella (from Combine and Compose )
In Combine and Compose, you will see a sentence combining test on page 77. Do not complete the entire test. You are only responsible for completing #76-90 on page 85 and 86 in the text. For this portion of the assignment, combine using ANY method (sentence combining methods 1-11), making sure the method you choose is both logical and correct. There may be more than one correct method.
This test will assess how well you understood methods 1-11, and each question is worth 4 points.  Each sentence cluster will ask you to combine the sentences using the method it demands.
If you do not have access to the book, you can view the sentence clusters below:
Combine and Compose pg. 85, #76-79
The two wicked stepsisters answered the door. They were stunned to see the prince standing there.
He asked them.
They wanted to try on the slipper.
78, He couldn’t even get in the door.
The one stepsister pushed the other out of the way and grabbed the slipper from the prince.
She crammed and jammed her big foot into the slipper. Her toes bled.
Combine and Compose pg. 86, #80-90
The other sister tried it on. It didn’t fit either.
Out of the corner of his eye, the prince spotted another young woman.
She was sweeping the hearth.
She looked at the slipper.
She saw it was made out of glass.
He asked her to try it on.
He made the stepsisters angry.
Cinderella was both nervous and excited. Cinderella obliged the prince.
The slipper was a perfect fit.
It made the prince embrace his true love.
The stepsisters gasped in surprise. The Prince kissed his true love.
He kissed Cinderella.
No longer would Cinderella be condemned to a horrible fate. It was a life of poverty and loneliness.
He picked her up in his arms. He lifted her atop his horse. His horse was a mighty steed.
Together the happy couple rode off.
They rode off towards the gleaming palace.
