1) Pulling from the literature, In your own words, explain how heterosexuality was initially framed in early scientific and medical literature. Also, describe how, according to Seidman (Chapter 4), heterosexual identity is often projected and reinforced by both young men and young women. When presenting your argument address the following: Frame your argument using one of theories of sexuality. How are hook ups typically defined? Give a few reasons mentioned in the readings as to why a person might want to hook up. What are potential risks and/or benefits of hooking up, also mentioned in the readings? What is the root cause of mental health issues that arise from hooking up?
