The objective of this assignment is to develop an aircraft inspection strategy that could have prevented an accident (I’ll provide details of the accident and an article later in the instructions) from occurring. The research paper needs to include the importance of aviation maintenance technicians during the inspection process, how electrical schematics are used in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical systems, and how you, as an aviation maintenance technician, could institute an effective aircraft inspection process for aircraft electrical systems to mitigate any future failures.
The incident I chose involves a battery thermal runaway due to internal short circuit on a Boeing 787
