Last week you got your first taste of the “Sharing Stories” project. This week y

Last week you got your first taste of the “Sharing Stories” project. This week you have three tasks to complete.
1. Let’s dive a bit more deeply into the project and the expectations. To do this, I would like you to take a look at the documents posted in the “Sharing Stories” Module. You can find these documents by clicking on “Content” at the top of the page, then choosing the module from the list on the left side of the screen. Or you can click here: Sharing Stories  This module contains the administrative details you need for researching and writing your biography, as well as the submission folder for your finished biography. Specifically, I’d like you to focus on Overview Sharing Stories from 1977 Biography Project the Biography Suggested Template and Bio Essay Checklist. After looking at these documents you should have a clearer understanding of the parameters of the project.
2. Next, watch the documentary (link is in the next section) to learn more about the 1977 National Women’s Conference. Knowing more about the conference will help you research and write about your delegate more effectively. As you watch, think about the following questions:
Are there any characteristics about the NWC delegates that stood out to you?
In what ways do they strike you as optimistic? In what ways pessimistic?
Have you ever heard of the NWC, and if not, why do you think that is the case?
Why do you think it’s important to recover the stories of the people who attended the NWC and post this information in a public forum?
If you like, you can watch the OPTIONAL video of a panel of historians discussing the film, but I would recommend that you do your research for the week before coming back to the panel.
3. After watching the documentary, your research tasks for this week is to look for your delegate in historical newspapers. This will probably be one of your most important research weeks! Keep moving through the module to find out more.
