You will create a PowerPoint presentation regarding the assigned textbook readings. The synthesis will provide thoughtful analysis, insight, understanding, and application of topics reviewed. The end result should be a 30–45-minute presentation. Please see the attached rubric for specific guidelines.
Topic: Review chapters 5, 6, and 7 of the Parkay et al. text and develop a professional, attractive PowerPoint presentation appropriate for faculty in-service, conference, or related venues. The presentation should highlight key areas from each chapter.
The presentation should review:
The differences between content and performance standards (ch. 5)
A description of the various players and methods involved in raising curriculum standards (ch. 5)
Technology’s impact in transforming curriculum development and implementatoin (ch. 6)
A description of the “emerging” trends in assessment learning (ch. 7)
Any other areas from these chapters, as appropriate.
