Only ONE (1) very long thread for each: American Football, Cycling (road, not mo

Only ONE (1) very long thread for each: American Football, Cycling (road, not mountain), Alpine Skiing, Marathon Running, and Water Polo.
What then follows the beginning of each thread is a great discussion.
If there is a thread that is already started, please do not start another one on the same topic.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Let’s develop an EAP together for each of these 5 sports: American Football, Cycling (road, not mountain), Alpine Skiing, Marathon Running, and Water Polo.
Each of these events will require significantly different approaches to emergencies, as well as different staff and equipment.
Lets have a discussion about each of these events. The discussion should include AT LEAST the best practice recommendations from the NATA.
The initial post does NOT have to have all of the answers. Use your resources and start the conversation. Continue the posts with SUPPORTED ideas or challenges we might face in these situations.
Please see the  THREADED Discussion Grading Rubric that is attached/linked to the Instruction Details for this week in the Discussions area for specific grading assessment details.
Here are additional guidelines for the weeks with Threaded Discussions:
Comments: Should be Appropriate, thoughtful, reflective and respectful to other’s post
Relevance of Post: Your posts reflect to the discussion topics for each week and should prompt further the discussion
Contribution to the learning community: Demonstrate an awareness of the needs of the discussion; attempts to motivate the group discussion and presents a creative approach to the topic
Required number of contributions (engagement) in discussions should be 6 or more total between the five (5) topics for this week.
Discussion Forum posts should be original in content, demonstrate a thorough analysis of the topic, apply relevant course materials.
Responding to questions from faculty, should they ask, is required.  As well, it is courtesy to respond to anyone who responds to you. This helps to advance the discussion and enhance our learning opportunities.  These responses do not count as one of your classmate responses.
Late Forum posts receive a 10% per day late penalty. If your peer responses are posted after the week is ended  they receive a zero, in that the discussion is over and you cannot receive credit for participation in a discussion with others after the discussion week has closed.
This is a threaded discussion. So you can answer to just one thread. Think of this as a “real life” classroom where we are having an open discussion. Playing devil’s advocate and questioning classmates is very much acceptable in order to promote discussion!
If the instructor asks you a question in your initial post thread, a thoughtful reply is expected (and part of your discussion grade). There is no word count expectation for these replies; the goal is to show reflection and application of the concepts being learned.
