Since the writer doesn’t know me personally, I’d tell them that I am a senior in high school wanting to expand my knowledge in the baking industry. Growing up i’ve always been passionate about making delightful desserts for the people who live in my home. I’ve always felt joy and excitement in mixing together ingredients to create specific yet familiar flavors. During my first year of high school, i attended Jules e mastbaum which was a Vocational and technical high school and automatically picked culinary arts as my primary topic for the next few years but i had to move to Lansdowne in delaware county and couldn’t finish what i started so i decided to get into baking at home which included watching baking shows, studying famous bakers including jacques torres, nancy silverton, and iris apfel(weaknesses , baking techniques, molding techniques, etc) and baking on my own with my very little decoration ingredients. My old weaknesses when i was about 10 years old were not baking the cake fully in the middle by accident, putting butter on the pan while making cookies which made them burn, and the edges of the cake being crunchy and the middle being moist and perfect. Things i am good at is making the cakes, brownies, and cookies taste good, measuring the Ingredients without certain tools, and neatly frosting cakes.
I also think this essay should be about your ideas on why is walnut hill college a good fit for my goals? why do you think i should pursue a career in hospitality (To put it another way, “what are your goals in the hospitality industry?”) like you know, what i wrote as if it were you going to this college .. if that makes sense.. and what do you think my goals are and could you write them as if they were your goals and if you were me..
