The 19 fallacies in Chapter 5 are divided into Fallacies of Emotional Argument (Pathos), Fallacies of Ethical Argument (Ethos), and Fallacies of Logical Argument (Logos).
Your assignment is to create a learning experience for all the fallacies assigned to you. Each person will be assigned 5 fallacies. You will NOT need to present, but I may use what you create with your permission.
If your given first name begins with A-E: Scare Tactics, Either-Or, Slippery Slope, Overly Sentimental (Appeal to Pity), Bandwagon
If your given first name begins with F-J: False Authority (Appeal to Authority), Dogmatism, Ad Hominem, Stacking the Deck, Appeal to Tradition (not in the book)

You may choose ANY of the following modes of composition:
PowerPoint/Slideshow with voiceover
Ad campaign consisting of 5 flyers, one for each logical fallacy. They should look thematically related.
Series of audio-only “public service announcements” that you may hear on a podcast or commercial break. Don’t wing it! Script it and record it.
A single-page “All you need to know about…” that arranges all your information in an appealing way. Use Canva or a similar app to help.
PROCESS
Consider your AUDIENCE: Who is your hypothetical audience? Boomers? Gen Z? How might this influence your examples or wording?
PLAN: What are your skills? What would you enjoy doing? Don’t spend a lot of time deciding, it’s okay to go with what you’re comfortable creating.
RESEARCH: Start with your book and research other sources if you’re confused about the logical fallacy. Make sure you understand it first before trying to create your project.
WORK: Here’s what needs to be included for EACH logical fallacy. These ingredients do NOT need to be in this order.
An example that is authentic.
An explanation of the example that is tailored to your audience.
A definition that is easy to understand.
Keywords to watch out for.
