The primary goal of this exercise is to apply your developing sociological knowledge and skills to the analysis of the process of socialization.
Instructions for the writing of this paper (select only one option):
Option 1
Introduction  Describe (and define) and analyze the process of socialization. Then,  respond to the question “Who Am I?” In your description, make sure to incorporate the concepts we have addressed in the course, such as roles, statuses, group membership, etc. Your response to this question should be at least 1 full + page in length. This may be written in 1stperson, “I”. Hint: sociological concepts should be clearly identified (defined) and then applied.  
Agents of Socialization   Next, analyze at least 4 agents of socialization that have affected your development as an individual, focusing on childhood socialization into adulthood. Consider, for example, the ways in which the family, religion, media, peers, and education have influenced your development, opportunities, and life choices. Your analysis of the process of socialization should be at least an additional 3+ pages in length and incorporate at least 4 sociological concepts or theories covered in this course. Your heading for this section could be Sociological Concepts and Theories. Hint: sociological concepts should be clearly identified (defined) and then applied. Examples of related concepts and theories include the self, moral development, nature and nurture, and resocialization. 
***Note that the sociological concepts used in Part 1 cannot be used again in Part 2. 
Be sure to end college papers with a Conclusion which briefly summarizes the topic of the paper.
