First, you will choose a piece of academic writing (either an excerpt from a book, or a scholarly article) relating to King Arthur in general—or more specifically, the Holy Grail. Once you have chosen a piece of writing, then you must do the following:
Read and reread your source, carefully examining its ideas or arguments, as well as its bibliography and footnotes. Follow the breadcrumbs: investigate how the author crafted his or her argument through other sources by looking at the article through a deconstructive lens.
Then:
Analyze the argument and research and discuss how the author has used their sources to support their ideas;
You must discuss at least two (2) of these sources, noting how and where they fit into the context of the larger article/argument.
Discuss how the article illuminates or offers up insight to a particular aspect of The Holy Grail, or King Arthur in general.
