The student will design a student-centered one-day government activity that can be used in the government classroom. The specifics of this assignment will be discussed and developed further during online discussions. The lesson activity must incorporate a theme from the readings: a form of government (totalitarianism or democracy), voting rights, the electoral process, popular sovereignty….etc.
Your lesson plan will include the main parts of a lesson plan, such as:
Intro activity/warm-up
Transition
Main activity
Closure.
You are not required to follow UHD’s lesson plan format to the letter. However, you will have to include the basic sections of any lesson plan such as grade level, TEKS to be used, material, community connection, special need students accommodations, and so on.
