I am trying to submit a Financial Aid Appeal from school.
I was completely cut from recieving the Pell Grant about a year ago. Ever since I have been paying out of pocket, as a single mom. ( Yikes)
I was finally afford the opportunity to place an appeal. I am reaching out for someone to help populate a very convincing letter to the financial aid office so they will lift the restriction.
The probelm semsters I have had in the past
Summer & Fall of 2015 – I was doing poorly in classes due to immature age (18) and moving spontaneously 3 states away.
Fall 2021- I was working as a correctional officer, I was slipping in my grades. I didnt not necessarily have the extra time, due to mandatory overtime, to reach out for tutoring. Too much on mental load.
Fall 2022- I just gave birth to my son, was dealing with a lot of Post partum depression and mental health issues from giving birth.
SINCE these occurences, I have a better support system. Got a grip back on my mental and enviornmental stability. I have also recently graduated FROM THIS SCHOOL (lol) with my A.S. Criminology & Criminal Justice Studies ( Last couple semsters I paid out of pockect 100%). I am currently pursuing my A.S. Cybersecurity. I am also paying out of pocket.
I would like to recieve financial aid again simply due to living with my parents so I can afford to take care of my son, work from home, school, and my bills. Regaining my funding would allow me to work less hours, become more active in my classes and maintain a more well balanced life overall.
They ask for :

The steps you will take to ensure you continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress in the future
I do not have documentation to prove “extenuating circumstances” other then my struggle with my mental health after the birth of my son to which I will not provide due to my own health information privavcy.
