The purpose of the Recommendations assignment is to leverage the interview material from Part 1, the literature and theoretical foundations from Part 2, and the learning you have obtained throughout the semester to form feedback to your practitioner from Part 1. This is the “scholar-practitioner” model which looks to put into application the theories of strategy.
To complete this part you will interview the same leader from Part #1 about your philosophy of strategizing and implementing ideas in their organization, based on your literature review. After the interview, submit a transcript of the questions and answers as an appendix to your integrative paper. Any data collected before IRB approval cannot be used as data in your dissertation but can be included in the literature review as a personal communication citation according to the APA Manual.
For Part #3.b (5-7 pages), reflect on your interview and answer the following questions:
What are 3-4 relevant and thoughtful recommendations you can propose to enhance your interviewee’s effort to strategize and implement solutions in their industry? These recommendations should aim to create positive change, build dynamic capabilities, and enrich their understanding of how to create significant change through collaborative leadership.
Based on your beliefs, values, and experience, what is your personal professional philosophy regarding strategy and implementation practice in this industry?
What are some potential research topics related to strategy and implementation in the context of this organization?
What are some emerging research questions related to strategy and implementation in the context of this organization
