Paper #1 will be a straight literary analysis of a short story assigned to you on the list below. Each story is available in a PDF reader at the bottom of this page. You only have to concern yourself with the story that has your name next to it.
The final draft will have five paragraphs: an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The three body paragraphs will all use passages from the primary text to support literary analysis points. The final draft of the paper will be due at the end of Week #7. It will be turned in to the turnitin.com file I set up in that week’s module.
(As you’ll see next week, you’ll need at least three quotes per body paragraph to fully support each of your body paragraph points — so you’re looking at a minimum of nine support quotes in this paper. But don’t worry about that now. Dealing with quotes is something we go over next week. This week, just read your story and discuss it with your group. The more you understand the point of your story and how your author gets that point across, the easier it will be to organize your paper.)
