What do others say and think about issues in your field? In this assignment, you will consider various perspectives on hot topics, using critical thinking skills to arrive at a conclusion.
Visit a professional organization related to your field of study. Select a current hot topic. (Tip: Look for topics addressed in conferences and workshops offered by the association, white papers or position papers, or topics and themes in publications or discussions sponsored by the association.) Critique the topic.
In your paper,
Explain the issue or problem.
Examine multiple perspectives on the topic.
Evaluate the evidence for and against diverse perspectives.
Defend your personal position.
The Position Paper
must be five to seven double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Styleas outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Formatting for Microsoft Word resource.
must include a separate title page with the following in title case:
title of paper in bold font
space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.
student’s name
name of institution (The University of Arizona Global Campus)
course name and number
instructor’s name
due date
must utilize academic voice.

must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph.
Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
