Part I – Select any local or national business or corporation (i.e. restaurants, car dealerships, real estate companies) and develop a power point presentation to make your pitch to the business or corporation to become a corporate sponsor for the Texas Southern Athletics Department (100 points). The Power point must include the following:
Detailed description of the business/corporation you are attempting to gain sponsorship from.
Visuals of the business and how it will be incorporated into the athletics department.
Advertisements of the business/corporation that can be seen by spectators at TSU athletic events.
Visuals that sell Texas Southern Athletics and makes it a viable candidate for sponsorship.
Part II – Make written proposal to the business or corporation that you’re seeking sponsorship from, detailing the terms of the sponsorship (100 points). Your proposal should include the length of the agreement, the financial obligations of the company, a plan on how the company will be promoted through Texas Southern athletics and what the company will receive from Texas Southern and the benefits of the agreement. Be sure to remember that in any agreement there is language in contracts that states what the consequences are if the terms of the agreement are not met. Please feel free to include anything else you deem important to your proposal. The proposal should be typed in Times New Roman 12 pt. font and double space. Also, each section of the proposal should be identified. Please included a cover page with your proposal. Please research corporate sponsorship contracts online, written business proposals or contact Mr. Stefann Robinson at Harlan.**************** and other marketing directors at other institutions for some assistance and examples and corporate sponsorship deals.
