Choose a topic that you can support with a written document and 12-20 slides PowerPoint (for an individual’s project).  The power point and document may incorporate active links for listening and viewing related information. Submit both the written document and the power point presentation as attachments into the Final Project Folder
When selecting your topic, ensure the topic is worthy of this type of college project.  The project must be presented academically, and must include cited sources from academic websites (.org, edu., etc.), books, and publications.  If you have questions about choosing your topic, contact your instructor for assistance.
Writing Assignment:
4-8 pages (800-1000 WORDS, ARIEL FONT or Time New Roman, 12 PT. FONT SIZE, AND DOUBLE SPACED WITH SITED SOURCES).  This writing assignment must link with the power point and support the power point with deeper and detail information of the topic.
PowerPoint:
The project will be a 12 slides PowerPoint minimum, up to 20 slides. The power point should incorporate four active audio or video links for listening and viewing related information.  Please submit the PowerPoint presentation as a PDF attachment.
These are good example starting points to expand upon:
(1) the name of your presentation, your names and the date;
(2) a summary of the piece’s composers/performers/producers;
(3) a summary of its historical and musical context (what was happening in the world and in music around the time of its composition/production);
(4) a summary of its most important performing forces and musical characteristics;
(5) a listening guide of the composition;
(6) a conclusions slide that includes a bibliography of any secondary sources used.
See the attachments below for examples of PowerPoints.  Note how the audio links were incorporated and relevance to the topic.
