After reading the book, your task is to pick one period in the author’s life to analyze further using the knowledge and insights gained thus far in the course. Your analysis should be about 5 pages in length and should include the following:
Describe the period that you have chosen to analyze, including the family structure, family relationship dynamics, and major event(s) experienced by the individual/family. What is the biggest problem or issue impacting the author and their family at this time? Briefly explain how the family has changed over time leading up to the period that you have chosen to analyze. Be sure to include descriptions of various cultural and contextual impacts on the family’s development over time.
Use three different theoretical perspectives to analyze the family dynamics related to the issue you have identified as the biggest problem. Be sure to include applicable assumptions and key terms of each theory used in your analysis. How does each separate theory inform your plan to support the family differently?
Cite at least three peer-reviewed, scholarly family science articles (see Library Guide for a list of approved journals) related to intervention for individuals and/or families that experience the issue you have identified.
Create a family life education intervention for the author and their family, based on both the evidence-based research you found and the three different theoretical perspectives that you used to analyze the situation. Your plan for intervention should be developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, and well-connected to the research.
Be sure to format this writing activity using APA style, and cite and reference your fact-based information about each theory using (& citing) the textbook.
After writing your analysis, you will orally present your theoretical assessment of the family issue and your tool for intervention in a 5-10 minute video presentation.
