In 350-400 words, describe/discuss the historical significance of your selected

In 350-400 words, describe/discuss the historical significance of your selected topic by drawing only on the content from the course lectures and readings. Essays using materials outside the course will not be given credit.
Essays should use the following format:
Introduction paragraph (explain clearly what the following essay will discuss).
Body paragraphs (2-3 paragraphs that draw on the course lectures and readings to discuss your topic with specific examples. What was happening at the time of your topic? How did people react to those events? What was historically significant about this event/era? Explain why the primary source document you selected is a good example that supports your essay. Brief, direct quotes are OK, but leave most of the space for your own words, evaluating how these sources help us better understand this period of history.
Conclusion paragraph: a brief final paragraph that brings each point together at the end and reiterates what your essay described in the previous paragraphs (similar to the intro).
3) Essays must integrate at least one reference to a course lecture, at least one primary source document, and at least one reference to the OpenStax text readings, for three minimum references required in total. Students are welcome to use more than three references, but three references (lecture/textbook/primary source document) are the minimum requirement.
IMPORTANT: All references to course materials/lectures must be cited clearly.
When referring to the lecture: (Hickey, MT SAC, Lecture date)
When referring to the textbook: (OpenStax, Ch. #)
When referring to primary source documents (name/title): (Thomas Paine, “Common Sense”).
