My proposal, or idea, for the emerging trend in training and development is base

My proposal, or idea, for the emerging trend in training and development is based on remote learning technologies. This paper will dive into the emergence of remote learning through use of technology to train and develop employees in the workplace, specifically, remote workers. This is significant because since 2020 (COVID-era) there has been a huge shift within the workforce to shift to remote work. Part of this shift meant, and still means, that training and development for remote work needs to be available remotely and through a form of technology. Remote learning can be completed through LMS (learning management systems) and other technology programs.

This outline provides a structured framework for my essay paper, covering all the essential aspects required for a comprehensive analysis of the emerging trend of remote learning technologies in training and development. Each section is designed to meet the criteria outlined in the guidelines, ensuring clear goals, adequate preparation, and effective presentation of my ideas.
The draft and final versions of your paper must adhere to the following style format:
use APA style (the standard in education and psychological journals)
include an abstract (100-150 words)
be approximately 3000-3500 words, (including abstract and references)
be double-spaced
use 12 point font throughout (either Arial or New Times Roman is preferred)
use 1-inch margins all around
supported with at least 15 relevant references
must not include any macros or templates (e.g., do not use auto-populate features for the references)
must not use multiple columns; I just want a clean, well-organized, paper with “no frills” regarding layout
be saved as a Word .doc or .docx or as .rtf. Must not be another file type such as .pdf.

The Impact of COVID-19-Prompted Virtual/Remote Work Environments on Employees’ Career Development: Social Learning Theory, Belongingness, and Self-Empowerment
I find this article useful for the assignment because it directly relates to my topic of the emerging trend of remote learning. More specifically, how the COVID-era has impacted training and development through virtual/remote learning. This article provides solutions for helping learners remain engaged through development virtually.

Evaluating Webinar‐based training: A mixed methods study of trainee reactions toward Digital Web Conferencing
I find this article useful for the assignment because it covers webinar-based training and evaluates the potential success of those types of training. With a push to Zoom, Google Meet, and other webinar-based training platforms, knowing how to properly evaluate what is taught/learned is crucial in remote learning. Providing remote webinar-based training allows participants to develop from anywhere there is internet access. This breaks down barriers of learning.

Navigating the New Normal: Adapting Online and Distance Learning in the Post-Pandemic Era
I find this article useful for this assignment because it examines development opportunities through online learning formats. As well as evaluating those opportunities and the different methods used in online education, training and development. Online education and the innovation of modes, models, and methods to perform and provide the training to participants/learners.

I find this article useful because it reviews the challenges that teachers and students face with technology-based learning integrated into their learning environment. Blended learning, known as a combination of face-to-face and technology-oriented learning, has become popular over the years. A combination of technological competencies, challenges, loss of social interaction, and potential barriers to be aware of while using technology for the learning environment are crucial. This will be helpful to show the potential downfalls of remote learning and/or technology-based learning and training, especially in environments where in-person learning is the norm.

I find this article useful because it relates to some of my previous and current experiences of receiving professional development as a teacher and also providing it to teachers. However, this article specifically reviews online professional development and the effective practices to facilitate those development opportunities. Data is given that looks at the different modes of delivery, including: fully asynchronous and a mix of asynchronous and synchronous modules. The modules and delivery were then broken down into the design elements and how they factored into the results and feedback from participants. This is a data-heavy driven study that breaks many elements down to show how different methods of online professional development can be used and the potential results of those methods.
S. Lockman, A., & R. Schirmer, B. (2020). Online Instruction in Higher Education: Promising, Research-based, and Evidence-based practices. Journal of Education and E-Learning Research, 7(2), 130–152. https://doi.org/10.20448/journal.509.2020.72.130.152
I find this article useful because it references evidence-based practices of online instruction in higher education programs. The authors reviewed the corpus of 104 studies in this article. Review of faculty pedagogy methods, including: discussion forums, online videos, social media, and specific technology, is a large portion of my review on the delivery of online/remote learning. Understanding how different methods can be used to meet learning objectives and the needs of the remote learner is crucial in training and development. Without knowing what methods work to keep the learner engaged and successful in the training, then there is potential for no development to happen.
